Dr. Parfitt attended The Citadel where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Physics. In 1984, he received his Doctor of Optometry from Southern College of Optometry Memphis and has practiced in Anderson since that time. He is a member of the Piedmont Optometric Association, South Carolina Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association. He served as president of the South Carolina Optometric Association in 1997 and he was awarded the South Carolina Optometrist of the Year award in 2004. Dr. Parfitt also served on the South Carolina Board of Examiners in Optometry from 2003-2006. He is currently an Infantsee Provider volunteering to give free initial eye exams to infants 6 months to 12 months old. Outside of the office, he enjoys gardening, traveling, playing with his dog, Spike, and working on classic British cars.
