Dr. Inouye received her undergraduate degree in Biology at the University of Southern California in 1985 and received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Southern California College of Optometry in 1989. She is recognized internationally as a Fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. Dr. Inouye has also obtained Board Certificate in the Treatment of Eye Disease. Dr. Inouye's training includes internships in pediatrics, ocular disease, and geriatrics. 
Dr. Inouye is a member of the American Optometric Association as well as the Sacramento Valley Optometric Society.
Dr. Lauren Anderson attended the University of San Diego where she received her Bachelor’s of Arts degree in Biology and minor in Chemistry. She continued on to graduate from the State University of New York College of Optometry, in New York. Dr. Anderson’s optometry school internships emphasized primary care, specialty contact lenses, cataracts, and glaucoma. After completing her optometric education, she was happy to return to her hometown in El Dorado County where she grew up.
Dr. Anderson is a member of the American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association, and Sacramento Valley Optometry Society.
